1. ✍🏻 Registration and 💡Participation

What is the registration deadline? Information will be provided soon.

How many students can participate per land? A total of 25 students per region/country.

Can individual students participate without being part of a Youth Enterprise? No, students must be part of a Youth Enterprise and must come from the northern regions of Norway, Sweden, Finland, or Iceland. Only invited student companies are eligible to participate in this event.
2. ✈️ Travel and 🏨 Accommodation

When should we arrive in Tromsø? Arrival day is 18 May. The official program starts at 21:00 (9:00 PM) with a walk up the Sherpa Steps/Fjellheisen in Tromsø. Participants will experience the midnight sun and enjoy panoramic views of the city. Social activities will take place during the hike with True North, ending up with a group photo.

When can we depart? Departure day is Wednesday, 20 May, after 16:00 (4:00 PM). The official program concludes at 15:00 (3:00 PM).

Where will the participants stay? Participants will stay at The Edge, Tromsø. Link to hotel

Is transportation to and from the airport included? No, transportation is not included as participants arrive at different times. Tickets are not booked in advance, but you will be reimbursed. Please download the Svipper app to purchase bus tickets and check bus schedules to/from the airport and the city center. Take bus #40 or #42.
3. 🥇 Competition and 📃 Materials

What does the competition consist of? Youth Enterprises will take part in the world’s first Arctic Championship for Youth Companies, where they will compete side by side with their businesses. Participants will present their companies to an international jury and audience. The competition also encourages collaboration across boarders, innovation, entrepreneurial skills, and cross-cultural learning.

What documents/materials must we submit in advance? You must submit a short description of your Youth Companies and your business idea, connected to the competitions you will participate in. It is important to highlight sustainability, innovation, and team composition in your submission.

Can we use digital presentations or physical models? All participants will have the opportunity to present using a digital presentation. It's a bonus if you bring physical products, which can be shown during the presentation or during the jury interview afterwards.

How will winners be chosen, and what prizes are awarded? There are a total of five categories, judged by a panel from regional and national business and industry networks. The competition criteria will be shared in advance so you know how your performance will be evaluated. All five prizes will be awarded, but the Best Arctic Youth Company will receive extra recognition and honor.

Are there social activities in addition to the competition? Yes, there will be several social activities during the program, including a social hike, a city walk with challenges, a youth concert, and more.

What happens if the program changes? If anything unexpected occurs, all participants will be informed immediately. Depending on the situation, we will do our best to maintain the planned program as much as possible.

Are there rules regarding food and drinks during the event? All participants must submit any allergies in advance. Meals will primarily feature local and high-quality food experiences, while keeping it fun and appealing for youth.
