2. Sustainability Award -
The Sustainability Award is presented to a youth enterprise whose core business idea addresses one or more sustainability challenges. It recognizes teams that promote environmentally responsible practices, create positive impact, and demonstrate how entrepreneurship can contribute to a more sustainable future.
The jury will make an overall assessment based on the following criteria:
- In what way does the product or service address a sustainability challenge?
- How is the solution more sustainable than other similar products or services in the same market?
- How do you ensure that the company is profitable while also taking environmental and social responsibility into account?
- Which of the UN Sustainable Development Goals has the company worked with, and how are these linked to the company’s business idea?
- How has sustainability influenced the choices the company has made?
The youth enterprise must submit in advance:
A short description (max 2 A4 pages) in PDF format containing information addressing the criteria above. If the youth enterprise has used artificial intelligence (AI), this must be disclosed in the jury interviews and in written materials.
During the championship itself, all youth enterprises will go through the following:
Stage presentation: The youth enterprise will give a live stage presentation (not a video) with an audience present at the County Championship. Maximum length is 2 minutes. PowerPoint, Prezi, etc., may be used.
Follow-up interview with the jury (maximum 10 minutes).
